Chapel
We were commissioned to extend a 19th C Wesleyan Chapel set at the bottom of a valley in Oxfordshire to provide a ‘viewing room’ of the stream below.
The brief was simple ‘light and more light’. We stripped out the interior of the chapel and reconfigured it using glass partitions and oak joinery creating a light minimal space.
This project was entered for the Federation of Master Builders Competition in the Autumn of 2007 and won both the ‘Regional Award for Small Projects’ and the ‘Best of the Best’ Award. The contractor was Bybridge Construction.
